I started at 11 years old.

Favorite tool?

Razor/fabric scissors.

Where (place) do you cut (school, home, etc.)?

Home mostly, i’ve done it a few times at school because i just couldn’t wait until i got home.

Do you have to hide your whole arm(s) (wrists, forearms & upper arms, etc.)?

Yes, haven’t worn a short sleeve since august of 2011.

Do you have to wear long-sleeves & long-pants all the time?

Yes

Do you cut on your stomach, or chest?

My lower stomach, on my hipbones, etc.

Are your legs, arms, & other body parts covered in scars?

Friend’s cat jumped all over me

Have you ever been hospitalized because of your cutting?

Yes.

Off the top of your head, about how many scars do you have?

I can’t do it off the top of my head. and i’m too lazy to count. over 60, i know that.

Do you have (diagnosed) depression, and/or bipolar/bpd?

High anxiety/ depression

Who knows you cut?

My family knew i used to cut. they don’t know that i still do.
nobody does. 

Have you ever been caught cutting?

Not while i was in the moment, no.

Have your parents ever confronted you about a bloody sleeve, or towel?

Yes

Did you have a good childhood?

It had it’s moments.

Why do you cut?

It’s a useful outlet and makes me who i am.

Have you ever talked to a therapist or counselor?

Yes, after the hospital shipped me to the psych ward after my first attempted suicide. The counselor did nothing. Therapist sucked.

Do you want to stop cutting (but can’t because of addiction)?

I would love to stop. But i can go about 2 weeks then start having withdrawals and going crazy.

Do you like cutting?

I love the feeling, i love the blood. I love the stress that is relieved but i hate, hate, hate the scars and i also hate that everybody thinks it’s so bad.

How many times have you tried to commit suicide?

Twice.

What are your views on cutting, and other self-injury?

I wouldn’t recommend it or wish it upon ANYONE. It’s just what i do, and a terrible habit it became to be.

Do you like watching movies with self-injury?

They are my favorite kind.

Do you like looking at pictures of self-injury?

Only when i have withdrawals.

Do you sometimes envy other people (non-self-injurers)?

Of course. They seem so damn happy with not one scar.

Have you ever taken any pictures of your cuts/scars?

Yes, but i don’t show anyone. It just reminds myself that i need to stop.

Do you want to die?

Honestly, if i wasn’t afraid of my friends and family caring about my death so much, i would have been dead already.

Have you ever done a school assignment on cutting, or self-injury?

No.

What do you like to listen to while cutting/depression/etc.?

Have you ever needed stitches from cutting?

Multiple times.

Do you dream about cutting?

Never had a dream about it before, no.

What do you use to bandage your cuts?

I use an old shirt to absorb the blood, but i leave them bare.
